This course is designed to build awareness and provide practical, easy-to-understand knowledge about Legionella and its management. It ensures that everyone, regardless of their role, can play a part in maintaining a safe environment. It is suitable for all roles, whether or not you have specific responsibilities related to water system management. 

The course will take approximately 20 minutes to complete and is self-paced, allowing you to pause, revisit sections, and and come back to it as you wish.

• Legal Responsibilities: Understand the duties of employers, premises owners, and competent persons in managing Legionella risks.

• Risk Assessment: An overview of how Legionella risks are identified, assessed, and recorded in the workplace.

• Control Measures: Discover simple ways to prevent and control the growth of Legionella in water systems.

• Monitoring and Maintenance: Learn about the importance of maintaining safe water systems and keeping accurate records of control measures.

• Reporting Requirements: Understand when and how to report cases of Legionellosis under RIDDOR.
